Durum Wheat

Variety with excellent performances in fertile and hill areas, especially windy ones, has a very good resistance to water stagnation. Torrebianca is particularly good for pasta making thanks to it's well balanced attitude, and it's capable of good yields, still keeping an excellent quality.

As resulting in national durum wheat screening, is the third variety in Italy for quality, good for pasta making and for high protein semolina production. The variety Torrebianca has been tested in national and european research projects Agrogen, Watnitmed and Frudusal, financed by MIUR and the European Community.

Durum Wheat

Variety with high quality, very good yields, grows well in warm areas as well as in fertile and hill areas. Mainly appreciated in mid-south, and especially in Sardinia and Sicily. Very good for pasta making with a gluten index above 80.
